Successfully harvesting crab C1 on june 8, 2016
On June 8, 2016, PKSF trainees, who have participated in crab hatchery production practice in TrungDuyen’s crab hatchery farm in the course of “Training on aquaculture model for poverty reduction focused on sea crab production” by the organization between CECD and PKSF cooperation, harvested the very first crab C1 group during the learning process in Viet Nam.

At the harvesting period, the percentage of molting from Megalop larvae to crab C1 was 97 %, and the rate of transferring was 90% (it was a remarkable rate for the success of transferring).

The crabs C1 were very strong and they reached the best quality
After crabs C1 were taken out of tank, they are tackled by Mrs. Hong, PKSF trainees and Mr. Trung – owners of TrungDuyen’s crab hatchery farm. Then, these crabs were calculated and separated to the trays which contained the soft net in bottom in order to prepare to transfer them to incubation pond.

As the result, representative of CECD and PKSF team expressed the pleasure and hope for the better success in the future of the crab hatchery production model when operating it in Bangladesh to support thousands of poor families in coastal areas.
