The crabs were cropped by the trainees under the guidance of Mr. Sinh
In this period, the crabs were grown in the pond’s environment which is similar with the nature environment in order to motivate these crab molting to increase weight and size. Moreover, the crabs were harvested by lift net (picture above) or by the method of draining out mostly water and harvested all the crabs in the pond.
These crabs achieved high quality requirements, the average size was: 2.75 cm/crab (although generally size was 2-2.5 cm)
In conclusion, the results demonstrated that it was a great and important success during the learning process of crab incubation in particular and crab hatchery production technique in general. This achievement would provide the sign for the better success when operating this model in Bangladesh.
Mrs. Hong and Mr. Ashutosh were glad to hold the first crab group with size of 2 cm
