RAISING EARTH WORM (PERIONYX EXCAVATUS) TO MAKE MICROBIAL FERTILIZER AND FOOD FOR LIVESTOCK AND USE LOCAL RESOURCES WHICH ARE ABUNDANT IN THE RURAL AREAS.

The most effective use of earthworms (Per onyx excavatus) in organic waste management on cattle or buffalo manure with or without water hyacinth. Perionyx excavatus farming movement in Vietnam has developed in recent years. In the year 2011, Center for Education and Community development cooperated with PHT Perionyx excavatus farm to implement to raise Perionyx excavatus model to produce microbial and food for livestock. The model was implemented on an area of 5,000 m2 with 35 households participate in Van Hoa commune, Ba Vi district, Ha Noi. The growth rate and conversion rate of earthworms would be better when water hyacinth was mixed with cow or buffalo manure.. These are areas where dairy farming profession should be very favorable for the supply of fertilizer inputs to raise Perionyx excavatus.

+ Generate large amounts of rich protein biomass production from worms to produce high value food for pet (turtles, fresh water fish, urchins ...)
+ Clean environmental breeding, non-polluting.
+ Building a model environmental treatment, sustainable agriculture development for the farmers in the village.
