The PKSF’s delegate visited models of agriculture products

On May 22, 2016, Mr. Abdul Karim – PKSF Managing Director, Mr Fazlul Kader – PKSF Deputy Managing Director, Mr Zahirul Alam – IDF Executive Director and Mrs. Pham Thi Hong – CECD Executive Director visited to the Dry Fruits model in Gia Lam district, Hanoi.

After that, the delegation visited the honey bee rearing model in Tan Thanh commune, Duong Kinh district, Hai Phong city, The household owner showed the simple method on how to collect honey from the boxes. The delegate impressed with super honey producer of French bee variety in household business model for income and job generation activities.

In the afternoon, PKSF’s delegation also visited the remarkable and successful crab hatchery model in Duong Kinh district, Hai Phong city for business development of Mr. Trung – the director of Trung Duyen farm where PKSF/NGF trainees staying and learning the whole practical process of crab hatchery. Mr Trung shared his experience and practical knowledge in the manufacturing process and business of sea crab to the delegation.

In the end of this trip, Mr. Abdul Karim believed that these models of economic development and poverty reduction are very effective and these are also worth studying and applying to the poor households for job and income generation activities in Bangladesh.
