CECD workshop on Solutions for household business for poor farmers in Do Son district, Hai Phong city
On May 23, 2016 Center for Education and Community Development (CECD) co-operated with Do Son’s Farmer Union conducted successfully the workshop “Solutions on sustainable household economic development” for over 50 farmers who are members of Do Son district Farmer Union.
At the workshop, CECD’s project officers facilitated some exciting activities for the participants such as group discussion, compiling a list of the current business development requirements, defining farmers’ requests, prioritizing tasks, setting up a business development plan.

Discussion to identify the demands of farmers
Besides, CECD also introduced some effective models of sustainable household economic development, instructed Do Son’s farmers to create the business plan for agriculture production, manufacturing and animal husbandry rearing activities. As the result, CECD’s project officers identified the needs of farmers in Do Son district are in two factors: the breeders of crop and farm animals; and manufacturing transportation and equipment. Based on these needs, CECD will provide some plans and activities to support farmers as soon as possible.

Overall, the government agency and Do Son’s farmers evaluated the workshop to be useful and helpful and they requested further training in the not so distant future.
